56<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0Convocation Ceremonies of the University of Lagos.<\/p><p>The number is made up of 617 first class honours and 92 distinctions all in the Bachelors\u2019 Degree category, and 502 class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong><em>Convocation Statistics<\/em><\/strong><\/p><p>Speaking on Tuesday, January 14, 2026 at the Convocation Press Conference to outline activities for the University\u2019s 56<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0Convocation Ceremonies, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Folasade Ogunsola,<sub>\u00a0OON, FAS,<\/sub>\u00a0revealed that a total ten thousand, five hundred and eighty four (<strong>10,584)\u00a0<\/strong>graduating students will receive first degrees or diplomas while Five Thousand, Nine Hundred and Twenty Two (<strong>5,922)\u00a0<\/strong>others will receive Postgraduate degrees.<\/p><p>Further breakdown of the graduation statistics shows that:<\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Four thousand, five hundred and forty three (<strong>4,543)\u00a0<\/strong>graduated in the Second-Class Upper category,<\/li><li>Three thousand, nine hundred and ten (<strong>3,910)\u00a0<\/strong>are in the Second-Class Lower Division,<\/li><li>One thousand and twenty three (<strong>1,023)\u00a0<\/strong>are graduating<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>with\u00a0Third-Class,<\/li><li>Sixty nine (69) finished with Pass and<\/li><li>a total of three hundred and thirty (330) have degrees that are not classified (from the Faculties of Pharmacy, Dental Sciences, Health Professionals and Clinical Sciences).<\/li><\/ul><p>In the School of Postgraduate Studies;<\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>a total of four hundred and seventy nine (<strong>479)<\/strong>\u00a0students \u00a0will bag Postgraduate Diploma certificates (PGD).
